All About Portland, Oregon | Contact Me | TIPS for Visiting the City

Never in my life did I ever think that I would visit, let alone live on the West Coast. It was never part of my plan, nor was it even in the plan of possibility. But, life has a way of shocking us sometimes, and that is exactly what happened to me. The United States Coast Guard planted us here in Portland, Oregon a year ago in July 2002. Since then we have taken in so many sites, sounds, and experiences that Portland has to offer. The city is alive with art, architecture, parks, music, fountains, shopping, and the best public transportation in the United States. There's more here than anyone could possibly do in the short time we'll spend on what I have deemed the "wrong" coast. :0) We are East Coast Folk living in a land we are unfamiliar with. But, while we are here...we are determined to enjoy ourselves and live the life of a West Coaster.
